First ,my kids are no where near over-weight.But my point is what harm is a piece of cake or a cup-cake for your childs class on their birthday? Now I am told by the school it's against the law. I know their is a problem with overweight kids nowdays . But I don't think the little bit of stuff they get at school is causing it. Now my kindergarten twins have to bring a daily snack for the class once a month .Which is great . But it has to be a health snack.Shouldn't it be the parents place to teach their child how to eat . Not punish all the kids. Is this just in Arkansas or country wide.

America used to be where freedom rings. Now the do-gooder butt-inski's are sticking their noses in all our business and we need to fight back. The government wants to baby us all. We have the freedom to do and say what we want but now conformity is the goal it seems.

Dare to be different and tell them that a twinkie is healthy.

It is going to far I would say. Type of "behaviour policing" is crazy but wher will it lead to is what we should ask??
How about the chem trails sickening the americans, or the subliminal messageing on tv, or the be thin or die attitude, or the we will love you to death attitude, or this judgement against overwehight people or people who are different, being treated as lepers. Something is very wrong around here. Atleast some people are awakening to it. Pray for change and ask for forgiveness and remember love and compassion so we can have a future. If not we're doomed.
People "schools, etc" are trying to control every move we make and it cannot be done. You have no control so teach them the right way to do things and hope for the best.

I do believe the government should provide dietary guidelines for meals paid for by tax dollars, but I think the kind of snack restrictions you are describing must be local policy. I follow those kinds of national issues pretty closely and have never heard of that.

They are sticking their nose into everything we let them. It's time to take America back and get rid of this stupidity. I say none of us should vote, not one person nationwide should vote. Then we'll see how the government responds to that. With zero votes there can be no elected officials to serve. That's when we make our move.

Because , if you do not care about their health, when they grow up, and you die, then their health becomes governments responsibility !
But I do agree that they should not loose the sight of individual freedom, basically shouldn't over do it
