I am going to be in New York for three days next week and would like to see an Off Broadway show. Has anyone seen anything recently that they would recommend?

Angel,
In addition to Playbill, try theaterMania.com
Many of the listings also have reviews or a reviews link
Satisfying your taste is everything - Off-Broadway is very eclectic and not everything is for everybody. Shows like Shout, Stomp, Blue Man Group are not plays.
If you have never seen a prodution of it, there is a revival of THE FANTASTICKS; for Dramas, check out what's playing at Manhattan Theatre Club, the Atlantic Theatre Company, etc.
I hope you chose something that really entertains you.

I would definitely recommend the Blue Man Group, as the act is always changing and would definitely be an interesting show.

If you like musicals and know a decent amount about the broadway theatre scene, I'd suggest to you Forbidden Broadway, which constantly spoofs current broadway musicals and tends to be hysterical.

Stomp is a classic if you like to watch and listen to percussion instruments made from about everything imaginable.

If this doesn't help, go to www.playbill.com, click on 'Off-Broadway' and see what's playing :)
