I'm not a big fan of naming children after cities or countries.
I like the older names

You know what's right for your family. Pick something that fits your lifestyle.
In my family boys get their middle name from their fathers first name so your baby boy Dallas would have daddy's first name as a middle

I think it is a really cute name for a boy. It was one of my options for a boy...I chose Austin instead. As far as the middle name goes, is there a family name you might want to use? I did that with mine and I know lots of people who use maybe the fathers, grandfathers, etc. name for a middle. Good luck with your baby and remember that although you will get many different opinions...what really matters is whether or not you really like the name and can see your child growing up with that name.

I like the name Dallas...my husband has never liked it though. Here are some combinations I like:

i love that name, not sure what the best middle name is...are the other boys in your family that the middle name has been passed down? would it work with Dallas? congrats on your baby!

I have an uncle named Dallas. I like it but wouldn't name my son that. JMO WIth my uncle it's his middle name, his first name is Rodney, a family name.

I don't really like the name Dallas but if you like it, go for it! I think either James or whatever his dad's name is.
