All I listen to is Country Music. I guess people don't like that the song reflect each of us

I used to think that I didn't like country music - Jim Reeves - Gene Autry and so on. Then I checked my collection and I was amazed to find that nearly 50% could be classed as county.
Bobby Gentry, Crystal Gale, John Denver, Glen Campbell, Joni Mitchell, Nancy Sinatra, etc.
OK I know that some of these are not strictly 'country', but they all sing the same sort of songs.
I love them - do I love it?
While the image is of guitar plucking cowboys and beaten-up divorced women it doesn't appeal. But there's a heck of a lot that isn't like that at all.

Different people like different things. That is what makes the world a marvelous place. Variety is wonderful, to have choices. I am sorry but I am one of those people who don't like country music..Use to listen all the time when I was young..That's all mom and dad played.

I'm not a Country music fan--espicially with this "new" Country sound, which I compare to the taste of "New" Coca-Cola (hey...who remembers THAT sad time in history).
Oddly enough, and because I couldn't snag any rock station gigs, I aired "classic" 70s/80s country for 8 of my 10 years in radio broadcasting; I tolerated it.
The song themes of cheating, picking up honky tonk one night stands for sex....and bemoaning lost loves in a bar put me off country music pretty much.

I dont like country music because its so...annoying. I hate how they sing with that accent. I bugs me a lot!!! Also almost all the songs are about drinking and a guy/girl leaving each other.

To tell you the truth, some people probably misjudge country music, thinking it is too honkey tonkish, or sad. I am a black girl and I love all kinds of music, it just depends on "who" is singing it. My grandma loves country and Gospel. So if you ask me, its just a matter of what people are willing to try out.

Everyone has their own taste in music..I personally am not a big fan of country music though there are a few songs that aren't that bad.

I dislike it because I don't like most downtempo songs, the rhythm of upbeat country songs, the often-cheesy lyrics and the instrumentation. It's probably the only contemporary genre I cannot stand to listen to (other than reggae.) I did like Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take The Wheel", though I'm not sure whether that song should be classified as country or pop.
This question helped me to reach level 2. Thanks!

i think it's because people are not all from the country like me but still some people in the country don't like because we all have our own taste in music

Why don't some people like rap? Or reggae? Or Alternative? Or Hip Hop?
Because we're all different and we have many likes and dislikes and if we were all the same and were always toe-tapping to country, there would be no diversity and diversity makes us human.
