Why do people wear fur coats, when they know whats happened to the animals and it makes them upset?y wer it?

For the same reason people eat meat.

People like their meat, they like their leather jackets and fur coats, and they like their daily conveniences. And as long as companies sell these items and people buy them, nothing will change. I think at the moment the animal rights activist should be leaning more to ethical slaughter practises rather then the total abolishment of animal products. People have been using animal products for over 400,000 years. We are not going to change overnight.

As a lady who wears fur, real leather, and eats plenty of meat, butter, cheese, etc. I will give you the same answer I have given my dear vegan friends. I believe that animals were created for a purpose, just as everything else was. People in prehistoric times ate meat and wore fur. It's a natural process. As long as animals aren't overkilled, then it's ok but using animals for food or clothing is part of nature's way to control animal populations. It's all part of the circle of life, the natural balance of Earth. I do believe in regulating the killing of animals so that they do not become extinct or become overpopulated. If it still makes you sad, then volunteer with animal control organizations in your area. I'm sorry that something so commonplace upsets you. I mean this honestly.

because the world is full of cruel people... ask yourself, do you eat meat?... I do even tho i know what happens to the animals i eat. they make it sound humane but its not, they electricute most things and they dont die straight away. not nice really but i like to eat meat because it tastes nice and keeps you healthy... therefore i carry on eating meat and as such people will still keep killing animals for me to eat, Demand and Suppy. Really it all boils down to money. its the same with fur coats, people know what happens but it comes second to them being "fashionable". A friend of mine spent a month in korea this summer and they cooked an octopus alive on a hotplate in front of the people who were going to eat it. People are ignorant and people are mean lol

When it comes to fur. I buy synthetic - fake. Always be careful of markets, it has been known that what they claim to be fake is in fact real.

I understand that many animals get cruelly skinned alive for the fur. This is why i decide not to wear real fur.

warm in the winter.
The First survivors on earth used animal fur to stay warm.

I love fur coats. I personally don't own one, but I just love them. It's a dang shame we have some freaks that want to ruin it for those that love the coats.
