My husband are planning a trip to Disney World next month and would like to know what people think of the restaurants we are considering eating at.

They are as follows:

Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian, Les Chefs de France at Epcot, Tusker House Restaurant at the Animal Kingdom, Restaurant Marrakesh at Epcot, Big River Grille & Brewing Works on Boardwalk, and the Fulton’s Crab House in Downtown Disney.

Some quick-service that looked good were the Lotus Blossom Café at Epcot and the El Pirata Y El Perico Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom.

Let me know about prices and the best food they have!

I love Walt Disney World, it's my favorite place to go, and I love going with my boyfriend. We just got back from our most recent trip almost two weeks ago. I miss it so much already! Anyway, Walt Disney World prides itself on its food and restaurants. And they should- the food and service is phenomenal.

My boyfriend and I ate at Narcoossee's our last night at the Resort (we stay at the Polynesian right next door and walk over.) We ate there last summer and had an incredible experience, so we had to eat there again. Both times our service has been awesome. With reservations, we haven't had to wait for a table more than 5 minutes. The food here is awesome. For an appetizer, I love the mussels. They're so delicious. I didn't get them this time, my boyfriend did instead, and I ended up being very jealous. For entrees, the lobster, surf 'n' turf, or filet mignon, of course. My boyfriend had the surf 'n' turf, I had the filet mignon. For dessert, I had the sorbet dish like last time. It's really good, I really like the blackberry one. The best thing to do is make reservations for around 45 minutes before the Wishes fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. During the fireworks they dim the lights in the restaurant and have the music piped in live from the Park. You can watch from your seat if you have a table near the windows, or you can go out onto the deck. It's very romantic.

My boyriend and I ate at Fulton's Crab House at Downtown Disney for our first time a couple weeks ago on our vacation. This was the ONLY restaurant at WDW I've had complaints about. Good thing it's not a restaurant of the Disney Company, it'd be so disappointed. But I was disappointed either way. I ordered the scallops as an entree, my boyfriend had the Alaskan King Crab legs. It took nearly two hours for us to get our entrees! Our waitress kept disappearing and avoiding our table, so I knew something was up (my boyfriend and I both work in restaurants.) At one point our waitress came up to us and said "they're just working on the presentation so it looks all pretty." Finally, over a half an hour later the dishes came out, and they certainly weren't that pretty. I cut one of the scallops in half and it was almost completely raw! I checked all the others and they all were raw. I'm pretty sure they burned the first batch and then tried to cook some more up quickly, but definitely didn't cook them enough. I was so mad. We were almost late for Cirque Du Soleil because it took so long, and that had me stressing out so much. And the waitress was like, "Oh, you don't want dessert?" And I told her numerous times we were in a hurry because we had reservations for the show. I wanted to try the milk chocolate creme brulee, too! It was a very bad experience, but we'll probably try the restaurant again someday. It was definitely a waste of a dinner reservation, though. I much would've rather tried Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I'm sure I wouldn't have been disappointed there.

I dined at Restaurant Marrakesh during my first visit to the WDW Resort when I was 11. I don't remember the food, but I remember the belly dancers. It was really cool, and it's a pretty restaurant. I plan on dining there again sometime in the future.

As for the other restaurants, I haven't tried them yet, but plan to. They all sound great. Some of my other favorite restaurants are the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort. Try the famous Tonga Toast at breakfast, or try the wok-seared duck pot stickers as an appetizer at lunch or dinner. They're so awesome, I had them twice this past trip. For dessert, the Kilauea Torte is the best! Tony's Town Square Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom is awesome. It's themed to the movie "Lady & the Tramp." The food is great. Everything from the bread they serve before you order to the dessert. The tiramisu is the best tiramisu I've ever had. My mouth's watering just speaking of it. Anyway, the Coral Reef Restaurant's another great place to eat. You can see in the aquariums from the table, it's really cool. And the food is awesome, too. I had the best calamari there. And the Chocolate Wave dessert was to die for- chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache, served with a little dish of white chocolate ice cream. Definitely an amazing dessert.

Go to http://www.allearsnet.com for a list of menus for all the restaurants. It's extremely hellpful. You can also find pictures of all the restaurants, and information on anything you need to know to plan a Walt Disney World vacation.

Hope this helps you decide where to eat. Have fun!

Sounds like you might be on the Disney Dining Plan?

If you like Italian food, dining plan or not.. make a reservation for Mama Melroses, located inside MGM Studios. It is the best Italian food I have ever had. You must make a reservation because this place is very popular. You will not regret this meal.
Some other great places to eat.. is Mexico @ Epcot. I cannot remember the name, but there is an eat in restaurant located inside the temple. Very good if you like Mexican entrees.
I'm sure the food @ the Grand Floridian is great because that is a very high quality hotel.. & I have heard the Les Chefs De France is also delicious.
Brewing works on the boardwalk is more for lunch. Try the tropical Cosmo.. YUM

The quick service food is pretty much the same quality no matter where you go. Pretty good chicken nuggets & other fast items.
Hope this helped.. I was @ Disney world twice . Aug 2005 & May 2006. The restaraunts are great & the food is delicious. !

Every restaurant at Disney is great. I love Alfredo's in Epcot's Italy. I have also heard great things about the restaurant in Mexico. Spoodles on the Boardwalk is very good. Fulton's Crab House is always packed every time I'm in Downtown Disney. The Rain Forest Cafe, there and in Animal Kingdom is quite an experience. The Living Seas restaurant is beautiful and you have a full view of the tanks. For quick food in Epcot, China is a quick, and not so expensive spot. In the Magic Kingdom, the luau at the Polynesian is something everyone should see at least once.
As far as prices, most of the Disney restaurants are coded $ for inexpensive and then $$$$ for mega bucks. Bear in mind, in the park a beer is $7, a bottle of water is $2.50 and your basic burger is $5.
Whatever restaurant you choose, make sure to have your hotel concierge assist with reservations. A lot of the nice restaurants will have an hour or so wait if you do not take the time to make the reservations.
Have a great time in the happiest place on earth!

Narcoossee's is great! My husband and I ate there a few trips back, we always try a different "nice" restaurant each trip. I would go back to that one. We've also done Fulton's Crab House as well, it's fun, but not one of my faves. Another great restaurant that I'd HIGHLY recommend is the California Grill, on top of the Contemporary Resort. If you can get priority seating so that you're eating during the fireworks, you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from your table, which is WAY cool. Or, you can plan to eat to be done, then go up on the roof and watch the fireworks...also way cool.

All of the counter service places in World Showcase (with the exception of the American one) are really good, you can get some of the good food that's in the more expensive restaurant, not as much of it, and cheaper. It's definitely the way to go if you want to try many of those restaurants. The Magic Kingdom is (as far as I'm concerned) not the place to eat at, unless your doing the character meal in Cinderella's castle. There's better food elsewhere in the other parks, and at the resorts.

Here's a link to Disney's dining finder, they list all the restaurants, their cuisine, and costs. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/dining/diningFinder?id=DiningFinderPage
Good luck and have fun at Disney!!

Narcoossee's is excellent, but expect to pay a bit. I do not recommend Fulton's Crab House. While their seafood is good, it's not worth the price. They charge an outrageous amount for a half pound of crab legs.

Here are my top recommendations:

* Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge: all-you-can-eat buffet of food from Pacific Rim Countries like Africa and Egypt.
* The Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT: dine next to the massive aquarium and enjoy gourmet seafood. A bit pricey, but worth it
* Teppanyaki Dining Room: Japan/EPCOT: Excellent sushi and service
* Victoria & Albert's: Grand Floridian Resort: Fine dining at its best - rated by some of the nation's top food critics as wonderful. Reservations are required in advance
* The Spirit of Aloha Dinner show: Polynesian Resort: enjoy a fabulous Hawaiian meal and a spectacular Luau show!

A few fun, and more casual places to dine:

50's prime time cafe: Disney MGM Studios
Ohana's: Polynesian Resort
Tusker House: Animal Kingdom

Narcoossee's = great seafood + one of the best steaks I've had down there
Les Chefs = good french if your into that
Tusker House =glorified quick serve, menu is more exotic that burgers
Marrakesh=cheep food, no one really eats there cause they are afraid
Big River Grille=good hardy food that pairs well with beer
Fulton's=more great seafood
The quick serves all serve the same quality of burgers, try the sunshine season food fair (what it used to be called, now i think it's just sunshine or something like that) in the "Land" pavilion in Epcot, for something more than a burger.

I also like
Mama Melroses in MGM for good Italian
50's Primetime for a good home cooked meal
California Grill atop the Contemporary for a expensive $100+ for two, but really delicious 5 course meal. I think it's worth it

I've eaten at Big River Grill and Brewing Works on Boardwalk and it was wonderful. Boardwalk is a very relaxing, uncrowded, laid back experience and I highly recommend it. Parking is very close too!

Fulton's Crab House at Downtown Disney was good but expensive and we had a very pushy waiter who practically insisted we order the most expensive choices.

At Epcot there is a fish and chips stand outside the Rose and Crown Pub at the United Kingdon Pavillion where we had a very enjoyable low cost dinner.

Let me start by saying that the last time I was at Disney World was 2002. Everyplace I ate was outstanding (OK maybe not Pinocchio's hot dog stand or whatever it is called in the Magic Kingdom).

On your list have only eaten at Fulton's Crab House. It was as great as the rest. I highly recommend it, if you like seafood of course.

We went last year and didn't go to any of these, but I agree with the post about Alfredo's in Epcot's Italy! Wonderful but expensive. Actually, everything we tried in Epcot was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the German restaurant where we got a fun show with our meal ... it's a buffet so you can pick and choose.

Friends told us that the Canadian restaurant is wonderful, but our service was poor enough we didn't stay to eat.

From your list, Ive only eaten at Fultons, which is very good, yet very expensive. I would recommend Ohana at the Polynesian, (all you can eat buffet, wide variety, chicken, beef, shrimp, and pork cooked on open firepit on huge skewer sticks) enjoy!
