My period is Late 5 days..and I am having some cramping on and off on my right side.. what does that mean?

could mean many things:

1. you could be getting your period.

2. you could be pregnant...it is common to feel some cramping on either side, or both sides. this is caused by changes in your uterus....when I was preggos the first time, I had this happen around the same time you're feeling it.

3. you could be pregnant with an ECTOPIC pregnancy. more unlikely as you'd probably feel it a bit later...like when the fertilized egg is growing and stretching your fallopian tube.

Go to your doctor sweetie...either way #2 or #3 need to be ruled out if you're worried about not getting your period.

If you're not pregnant, you could have an infection. I've had a few of those pregnancy scares. Of course, that came after my 3 unexpected children...!

assuming you are pregnant it could just be nothing or it could be that its etopic (sp) where its implanted in the fallopian tube and not the uterus which can be very unhealthy and dangerous if its left untreated.... you should probably go to the doctor soon and talk to them about this to make sure nothing is wrong...
