In IE, click Tools then Select Internet Options then on the field where it says Homepage, type http://www.yahoo.com.

In Firefox, it's also the same.

As for the games, some of them requires additional plug-ins such as Java or Flash.

You can download Java here - http://www.java.com

Flash here - http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer

Mine does the same thing, for me it is because I have too small of memory in a very old computer, and with all the graphics that constantly run in minimized programs along with the graphics of what you are trying to play, it is too much for the computer. I would check on adding memory if you can, and also close as many windows as possible instead of minimizing them. I.E. messenger, mail, answers, etc.

If you can't find it, its under tools, internet settings, General.

Some programs like anti-adware/anti-spyware/firewalls/etc. will lock the home page too.
