It can't take an hour it just can't do they have super quick drying paint aswell...plus one time they didn't manage to get a couple of the doors in "time" but when the people were shown round the doors were on!!! I think they get free stuff because it always says for example paint: by Dulux or whatever they give them the stuff gratis and get advertising in return and the chance that people watching will go to the progs website and get there details if they see something they like.

All television is staged.
To light a scene alone and set up the camera will take at least an hour.
Then different angles have to be arranged so the lighting gets moved again.
There's scripted pieces to capture and continuity and if they do this in a day's filming, then I'll be a monkey's bum.
It's not the most dishonest thing you'll see on TV and it isn't harming anyone.
Just don't take it seriously.

I saw something on this a while ago, and i think they have a day to clear the room/rooms then go back the following day to tart them up. But who pays for all of it anyway, is it the ones who get them in or the TV people, often wondered.

I knew somebody who worked on one off these programmes and they do not take an hour, depending on the size off house it can be anything from 4 - 8 hours.

of course they do
longer sometimes too!
do you actually think X factor isn't fixed? Record labels now scout for people and then place them in the final 10- of X factor as it is cheaper for them and they can test the water as to the persons profile = not lose any money on promotion. I think its disgusting

It must take more like weeks, they always have that 'perfect' sofa, how did they know that! Flower arrangements arrive in perfect colours - do me a favour. these things must be planned for months, half the stuff is made to order. It's all a con.

If its not live TV then it probably takes a whole day more or less to film.
