Lytton Strachey, british intellectual and part of the bloomsbury group, is often depicted with his customary beard. I want to know what he looked like in his early 20ies. Also I would like to find images of him together with dora carrington, his close friend.

There's a wonderful painting that Vanessa Bell did of him in Richard Shone's "Bloomsbury Portraits" and some photos in Bloomsbury and France: Art and Friends" by Mary Ann Caws and Sarah Bird Wright. I think they may all come with the trademark beard however.
