I was wondering throughout the entire film where all the blacks were. I think that it is wrong. An opportunity to portray a black in a positive light was overshadowed. The few blacks that were shown were seen as incompetent (the woman answering the phones at the police station) and just not as positive as all the whites in the movie.

Normally I would say that race doesn't matter but in this instance, I agree it's not right. If film makers are trying to recreate the events of 9/11, then they should use accuracy. The same was done in the movie "Saving Private Ryan" some of the characters where portrayed as white but were actually black men.

I do not think they should white actors to play black people in the WTC. This shows that there is not good black people. I know there are great black people and history should be written how it is not how we want it. Its a shame that America does this all the time. With Katrina they blame bush for everything and I know he is guility in many ways for failure to help but also Mayor Nagin failed. Spike Lee said he did so. I just wish As Americans we can look pass the color issue and just live together.

I read an article that quotes the black man that was misrepresented as white, and he said that he is not bothered at all, that the movie is about human beings, and it makes it no less relevant and important. They have also apologized to him. I can't see that it was racially motivated, and it certainly would make no difference to movie goers. The world was affected by that terrible event, all races, religions and colors, and the people who go to see it will already know that.

In once instance, they had no idea who the person was, wether he was white, black or any other color. They cast an actor who they felt would play the part the best. When the actual person saw "himself" on the previews, he stepped forward and said it was him, validated it, and it turns out he was black, the actor was white. The movie execs appologized for the error, the guy just laughed it off. Said it was no big deal. A smart man, if you ask me. I don't care what color someone is, it is what's inside that counts, and this man saw that too.

I'm more shocked that someone made a movie of such a sad day and only giving 10% to the victims family's of 911. I know I won't give my money to see that movie. The money would of been better off spent to have Bush Impeached

Nope, I don't think the color of their skin should be the issue - especially in a film where most of the people got covered with dust and look gray at the end of the day!

If you are talking about the nameless black marine - even he doesn't mind. By the time that he realized that he was the one they had been searching for and spoke to the producers it was too late because the movie was already filmed. They apologized and he just laughed about it and was not as offended as you seem to be.

It is not necessary wrong. But it would be better if they use black people because they could act more naturally. But again we are all the same, so it doesn't matter the colour.

Basically, the WTC's ability to generate false patriotism was fading so they made a movie about it, and for the black people thing, who cares its a movie, its people like you who turn something so minute into racism.
