It was a band called Goo Goo dolls and it was off the soundtrack to the Nicholas Cage movie "city of Angels" and also on the album "Dizzy up the Girl"
And as an Irishwoman, may I say how deeply ashamed i am that that twillic keating has made such a balls of a great song and also how delighted I am that he has sold a total of 90 copies here in Ireland and therefore could very well be giving the eardrums of Eire a rest verrrrry soon, when he returns to his day job selling carpet slippers in a shoe shop..yipppeeeee!!!

It was a group called the Goo Goo Dolls and I have no idea where they are from, sorry. It was released mid to late 1990's from memory and was an awful lot better than Ronan's effort.

the only other version I know is by the goo goo dolls, from the City of Angels soundtrack. It was in the late 90's though, not 80's.

The Goo-goo dolls. Although i don't know why he bothered to do a cover - it sounds almost exactly like the original. It's a good song though, right!

The GOO GOO Dolls wrote it and sang it. Mr Keating is a no talent ex boyband music thief. Ask yourself this why does he only sing cover versions.
