Find a good chinese martial arts master and learn Tai chi, Pagua and Qi Gong. There are many good qi gong exersizes (physical and mental) for developing strong chi.

Also look up shikon, the 8 principles they teach contain internal chi. The 8 principles apply equally to all martial arts.

Ken Hall has it right. You want to go with the Chinese internals. Qi Gong and Nei Gong are the basic exercises for building and flowing chi. Tai Ch'i, Paqua and Shing Yi are the martial arts that most exemplify the application of Chi in both fighting and health.

Depending on your age and level of experience I would say: Tai Ch'i is good for older practitioners, who have patience. Shing Yi is good for strong and mid level fighters who want to see the results in a direct application. Paqua is the lovliest and most powerful of all; basic grappling combined with strategic footwork and
intricately detailed application, Paqua is the Lamberghini of Martial arts.

I think you are talking about the Taoist belief in a universal energy source that is in us all and is the foundation of the entire universe. Some believe that through manipulation and control of your own personal " chi " that you can actually have physical influence on your self and your surroundings, by harnessing that energy to your will. On a side note, alot of physicists are Taoist in nature, because it fits neatly with string theory and gives the individual a feeling of oneness with the entire universe. My favorite visual example of this is " Fist of Legend " Jet Li, when he goes through his tai chi exercises, he actually creates a force that clears a perfect circle of leaves around him, without ever touching the leaves or ground. Gotta love it.

The qi is found inside our body, similar to energy.

It will be release out of the body in two ways. One is through your mouth. Burp!. & the other, through your ***.
