Smoking has become socially unacceptable behaviour for many people and they don't want yet another accusation of leading kids astray....same reason they got rid of the Joe Camel figure. They think that if kids see their favourite singers smoking they'll want to copy it because it's "cool."

In the last ten years, the anti-smoking people have made it their mission to demonize cigarettes. If you've noticed, there aren't tobacco commericals on TV and even organizations like NASCAR won't put tobacco products on their cars. I don't smoke and I never intend to...but people have been made aware of the damage that smoking can do, and they choose to do it anyway. As long as they don't do it in a public place where it's not appropriate, it's their business.
The government receives a lot of money from cigarette taxes. In my opinion, if they're going to allow an addictive drug (nicotine) to be sold, they have no business exploiting the addiction of the people that it is sold too and then restricting the tobacco companies advertising of their product (they certainly don't restrict the advertising of alcohol much, do they?)
If the government believes it is so bad that it warrants such high taxes and restricted advertising, then make smoking illegal. Right now they are censoring and banning tobacco products and sucking the money out of people that are addicted to a legal product.

Because Big Tobacco just took a major hit to its advertising. The law suit disallows any tobacco product to be advertised or shown in use. It was a trade off, rather than pay an exuberant amount in fines and penalties they agreed to relent on their means of getting the message out via media advertising of any kind... either that ( I have not seen the video you're talking about) it might have been a blunt or a joint? I don't know?

Because the cigerettes haven't signed the release forms for their image to be put on public TV. Therefore if the cigerette was actually shown it would have the right to sue. The same as criminals really.

I have NO idea, Kerrang! won't really comment on it though people have asked for reasons why (and complained). I guess its just so they don't feel like their advertising it. They also censor them in other videos.

Because cigarettes are filthy little things which affect many people's health and they need to be banished forever.
