it's only a deleted yahoo account, you've not been tortured for months on end at guantanamo bay.
they cancelled your account because you did something which contravenes their terms and conditions.

Hope Yahoo is listening to this and will revert with some kinda explanation . This is happening to many people.
If at all this is done due to Yahoo terms violation, then professionalism demands that a warning is given or atleast the user is informed of the action. Withdrawing an e-mail ID is definitely not the right thing as the user can open 10 new in no time and may indulge in same offense out of ignorance or deliberately.

One night I had a grand date with my mrs. We had a lot of fun, good meal, beautiful time. But somewhere in there I mentioned she was a little plump. I didn't know it then, but from that moment on, no matter what I did, the result was the same--no nookie tonight.
Sometimes it doesn't take much. Sometimes what it takes is not what is told. Perhaps you are not as innocent as you would be seen. Considering the crowd here, innocence is an uncommon commodity. Sorry.

FIRST OF ALL YOU ARE MAKING IT SOUND LIKE IT IS A CATASTROPHE, IF THEY SHUT DOWN UR ACCOUNT CREATE A NEW ONE. NO BIG DEAL. I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE UPSET BUT IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD IF THEY SHUT DOWN YOUR ACCOUNT YOUR NAME WILL BE TAKEN AWAY TOO WHICH MEANS NO ONE ELSE WILL HAVE THAT NAME SO JUST RECREATE YOUR NAME AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK GO AHEAD AND CONTACT EVERYONE ON UR CONTACTS OR BUDDY LIST AND TELL THEM THAT YOU MAY HAVE TO MAKE A NOTHER NAME AND WILL KEEP THEM UPDATED GO MAKE ANOTHER NAME AND TELL THEM THE NEW NAME. I AM NOT GOING AGAINST YAHOO BECAUSE I LIKE YAHOO AND I THINK IT IS A WONDERFUL SITE

have you read their policy. They have the right to shut down any free account, hence the reason it's free.
It may not be Yahoo, but a hacker. Mine was hacked once. Someone used it to send out spam, but I manage to get back in and change the password before it got too bad.

If there was no reason for it, it was probably a mistake. Speak nicely to customer services, and I'm sure they'll fix it. On the other hand, you sound angry rather than surprised, so I'm guessing you know what you did wrong, and just don't want to admit it to us.

What'll you do for me? Are you sure it's been deactivated? I had a similar problem a few years ago when I couldn't get into my account. It turns out that someone had hacked in and changed my password.

Go to Yahoo headquarters and start a protest. I'll meet you there.

it was inactive for a period of time
you or someone was abusive with your account maybe
only you know those things..good luck....but, if you were abusive and they closed your account, then i have to say...good..sorry
