I don't know what's up with me...... Lately I've really started to get really down on myself. Its not depression, I know how that feels but I really need a boost.
I'm intimidated by most women I see even ones that say the wish they looked like me. Movie stars make me sick & really feel like I could die when I see a pretty girl.
The wierd thing is that lots & lots of people tell me I'm really attractive & a few guys really fancy me & my boyfriend is crazy for me but this cloud hanging over me is starting to really bother me I feel really ugly.
What can I do to get back to my normal, happy, confident self?
Help muchly appreciated....Please.

Stop directing your attention twords looks and find something else to concentrate on.
Look into some Karate classes. They are fun, practiced by alot of different shaped people, will build confidence in you and give you something more positive to focus your thoughts on.
Get your boyfriend into it too. You two could have alot of fun together. It's not all breaking boards and throwing people and shouting. Go and watch some classes and see if you like it.

Just tell yourself-"I am a great, pretty, smart, wonderful person." Look in the mirror and find all of the things that are great aboud you. Your looks, personality, etc. Everyone is beautiful on the inside and out. Make yourself realize that most movie stars are all made up and have professionals doing their hair and make up to make them look perfect. They really aren't as perfect as you may think they are. You can be anything you want. If you dream big and feel happy about yourself, you'll be very successful. Try hard in everything you do, and reward yourself when you do something great, and that might raise your confidence. If your going through problems, talk to someone like a friend, family member, or guidance councelor. They may also be able to give you some ideas on how to boost your confident. You have a boyfriend who thinks your great, people telling you your wonderful. Just take that and feel great about yourself!!!

First of all I love your name here on answers very funny.

Looks are a great start to confidence but clearly not the complete package. Surround yourself with people who do not judge you and that simply like you because your you. I would also suggest taking some sort of exercise class (arobics, kickboxing etc) they can be empowering, take the class without your friends it should be your own evil snow white time (you deserve it)..
Often girls see a different picture than others see when they look in the mirror, so you are not alone.. but here's a suggestion:
On your mirror write the words "Go Confidently" every time you look into it you will have your own little reminder.
Keep your chin up..

It's a phase that will pass, luv. Do nice little things for other people. Compliment them, invite them for a soft drink or whatever you like, offer your mom a little help, baby sit a neighbor's kid at no charge, adopt an abandoned animal...Soon your mind will be off the fake movie stars and on something other than how you feel about your looks.

I think you should spent time doing girly things maybe with your friends and completely pamper yourself, you just need to remind yourself you are beautiful and on the days which you feel at your worst think to yourself that however ugly you feel someone somewhere is feeling worse. Everyone has their off days, i get them 50% of the time but i tell myself i'm still beautiful and that i just don't feel it today. Failing that, do some shopping i know that helps me!!!!!!!!! Hey, you shouldn't feel sad you have a b/f and guys who want you! Cheer up:)

1st of all Pray. Secondly always remember that you are your own competition. There is no one on earth like you...smile. Keep yourself up at all times like getting your nails and hair done. Always wear clothing that complements you, why not? How many times will you be young?? Have fun with yourself at all times. There are so many beautiful people in the world just be happy you made the group! Play up your strengths and just laugh at your weaknesses. Trust me if we are honest with ourselves, we've all felt that way at one time or another. And the stars you see on t.v. arent perfect, hell some of them arent even pretty. Its called photoshop.

Treat yourself to a spa session or something. If alot of people are saying you are pretty, then it's just a case of low confidence. Your boyfriend treating you to something special should cheer you up.

YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL INTIMIDATED BY ANY1 PAMPER YOURSELF, GO AND HAVE A NEW HAIRDO, HAVE A DIFFERENT COLOUR IN IT, HAVE A MANICURE, THEN GO AND BUY SOME NEW CLOTHES, THIS IS ALL VERY SUPERFICIAL I KNOW, BUT IT WON'T HALF MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER, GET SOME VITAMIN TABLETS MAYBE YOU ARE LACKING IN A PARTICULAR VITAMIN

Try a new look..have a hair cut...find out what it is that you don't like about yourself and work on that area...pamper yourself.. and mostly don't worry about it we all feel down on ourselves from time to time..
