It's better if you have connections. Try to get to know everybody! You'd be suprised who you'd meet. My art teacher's son had a small part and edited in Lords of the Rings and Kingdom of Heaven. So always be open to meeting new people, especially in this business.
If your still in high school or not, it would be good if you would take a foreign language, drama, music. Anyway your're gonna need to have more than one talent. Moving somewhere mainstream also would help a lot.
Most actors wouldn't be anywhere without an agent, so i'd be good to have one. Other than that lol, follow your dream, and always have something else to lean on!

You wanna be an actor, eh? Well, the best way to do that is to pull out a HUGE bank loan....and pass the cash to an "acting school" owner, seeking a hook-up shot into the biz.
Acting schools don't teach anything but crap: it's a payola business for making connections: something you'll find out is key in the biz.
The formula is simple: Dole out the $$$$$, get the connection--remember: you get only one shot at this, so don't f*ck it up, and pray you don't roll a 7. If you do, you'll be working at Joe's Muffler shop for 50 years paying that loan off.

Well your gonna have to move to L.A. or ny being that is where you will get your big break. Get some head shots to. Get an agent who can represent you and help find some openings. Mind ya now in order to pay your bills you will have to have a job on the side. Good luck!

Learn to be a good waiter because thats what you will be doing 99.99999% of the time.
Then move to LA and try to get some acting jobs.

well if you want to you have to think of the fact that if u get famous u wont have any freedom anymore! you wont be able to go out with friends or have fun at a club or a bar or anywhere where people are crowded...

You should get some head shots & send it w/ your resume to agents. To that end any acting experience (like local plays & such) would help
