If you can't pick your own design for a tattoo, you really shouldn't get one. A tat should be special to YOU, and you shouldn't listen to what other people say is cool for a tat. It's your tat, it will be on your body permanently, so it should be YOUR choice for the design.

Well I don't know if any of those things will represent a new beginning per say, but I think it should really be something you want. I got my first(and only) tat last year and it took me 3 years to decide on it. When I think of a symbol for a new beginning I think of a phoenix, a legendary beautiful fiery bird. The story of the phoenix, in short, is that when it is ready to die it burns and is reborn from the ashes. Maybe you could incorporate that. Possibly have the tattoo artist create a constellation of stars that looks like a phoenix... just be sure you like it and will not be ashamed of it later in life. good luck, I prolly didn't help much lol

Get the fairy in a sun. The sun could be the representation of starting over...Regardless of what happened in the past, the sun rose the next morning right?

Yeah, I'm with Lucky C. Every chick has a freakin' fairy, and in my opinion, they look lame, and pretty tacky.

I have a fairy floating in waves and bubbles in my chest. Don't make it to look sad, if it means a new beginning to you;)

I strongly sugest you have your tat placed so it does not show unless you want it to. Fads change. There will come a time you don't want the tat to show. Trust me on this one.
