It rained yesterday. And it rained like crazy! It started just before I left the dentist's office. I got soaked running to my car and soaked running into work. I had to pull over cuz it was raining so hard and I couldn't see! There were trees down, the roads were flooded... It was NOT fun. And the worst part was I didn't get lunch. I didn't want to have to roll my window down anywhere and I certainly wasn't getting out. I was wearing a skirt and heels too! It did cool off though and it's nicer outside today. It blew a small part of the roof off where I work. It was the 1st day of school and some districts wouldn't let the kids leave cuz the roads weren't safe. But we really needed it.

It has been a couple of months. We really need some rain bad. Where I live, we are at a high risk for brush fires.

Where are you? It rained so hard last night the power went off. But we did have a drought after Hurricane Katrina that was rough. Now the drought has broken.

I don't remember...and I live in Michigan where I can have rain, sleet, snow, sun, and a monsoon all in the matter of 30 minutes. Very rare to have a bright, sunny summer here.

Wow, I thought it was bad in the midwest!! We finally had about two inches of rain a week ago. More is predicted this weekend. We are 10 inches behind this year.
This is the 6th year of drought for the midwest. Talk about global warming!!
