Look acne is a big problem if you have it and no amount of platitudes are ever going to help. If there was a be all cure everyone would know it. It must be hell and I do feel sorry for you but i am quite old and I can tell you in my experience those younger people who suffer from acne quite often mature into the most beautiful creatures.

My advice to you is take note of the people who dont give you a hard time now when you have acne and when you become as I am sure you will a very good looking person tell tose that gave you a hard time and are all of a sudden interested to get lost

good luck and dont panic it will all be ok

I haven't looked at your other questions yet.

Do you wash your face twice a day? Do you drink enough water? Some people just have very oily skin to begin with so there really isn't a cure for them. My mom is 48 and has oily skin and is still dealing with acne. It's all about how you're made.

Try using a cleansing face wash, I actually prefer WalMart's Equate brand over Clearsil. It seems to work better. Use that in the morning. Then at night wash your face with Dove (unscented). Be sure to rinse your face with cool water after washing it so this tightens your pores.

Avoid touching your face througout the day as your hands may have dirt and oil on them. If your face gets oily or sweaty dab it with a clean cloth.

This has also been a proven fact, even though it's a bit gross. Urine dabbed on your pimples will help them go away. I guess our bodies produce a natural supply of anti-oxidants and acids, so it dries up the pimples, and without leaving your skin overdry like some acne products.

That's all I have for you. Hope it helps.

Don't worry, my acne is sooo much worse than your. The stuff a dermotologists would perscribes you will be 48256 times better than all the home redemies you try. Theres also something called a cortisone shot(available at the dermotologist's) it's basically a shot to you pimples(don't hurt if the doctor is trained) and it gets rid of your pimples in about 24 hours. I've had since 5th grade and currently in 9th so I know how you feel. I've tried like EVERYTHING. Good luck! And see a doctor.

Hi
I no hust how you feel - i used to suffer with it so bad i wouldnt even go 2 school, every1 used to say tooth paste but it didnt work, neither did all the creams, soaps, face wipes, but i found that laying of the perfumed soap and using simple face wipes worked a treat, however if i eat too much chocolate (which we all tend to do) i break out in spots all over again, so maybe are you eating the wrong foods?? - its worth a try - Good Luck xx

if you live in the uk... Go to a store called Holland And Barrett you are looking for capsules called MSM (methyl .. something, I cant remember), they really helped me and I am black, but light skinned and my spots were very dark and really disfigured me.

The shop assistant advised me to take 4 a day, 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening every day for 3 months. I was taking vit A and Garlic tablets, when the MSM ran out, I continued taking the garlic and vit A. No word of a lie, they worked miracles, I wish I had a before and after picture.

Use vitamin E cream as well.

Hannah, calm down ..it will make your acne worse ( seriously ) !
I suffered with that awful affliction in my early 20's, tried all the products I could get my hands on, nothing worked...so I went to my GP who referred me to a dermatologist !
That was my cure ! I was put on " the pill " given a particular type of antibiotic ( a couple of weeks worth ) and a gel to use on my skin which peeled off the top layer ! Worked a treat ..never came back either ! Only downside was a little weight gain due to the pill, but what the heck, a price worth paying if you ask me !
Please go to your doctor , they can usually help . Good luck .

Try talking to a dermatologist about your acne. Sometimes it's your diet and lifestyle that is contributing to your acne. Be honest about your answers. If you smoke, drink, do drugs, are sexually active, he/she can best tell you how to treat your skin. You may need a prescription medication to see results. Whether it's a pill, or a topical medication, there are several types of acne that refuse to be treated with OTC and home remedies. Talk to your general practitioner about a referral to a good dermatologist in your area.

I started getting really bad breakouts when I turned 30 after never having had acne as a teenager. I started using Dermalogica products and haven't looked back since. I still get the odd spot but nowhere near as bad as they were. The products are fairly expensive but well worth the extra money that you pay.Hope this helps.

My advice is not to use any scented soaps/products on your face for a while and see if it clears up as your skin may be sensitive to anything scented. It may be your diet if you eat lot's of chocolate or anything with lot's of sugar or salt. If you wash your face don't use a towel to dry just maybe pat it then leave to dry naturally as if you rub with a towel you will spread them and you're rubbing the tops of them that makes them worse. If you have oily skin (as this get in pores and gives you spots) then use a good exfoliant to help unblock the pores. Maybe you could visit chinese herbal medicine shops as they have pills and other stuff for acne. Failing that go see your doctor. Hope i helped. Good luck:)

hi, i'll email you the name of the stuff i use otherwise the question will be removed due to advertisement violations.

your email addy isnt working........

Hi Hannah, I began to suffer from acne 3 years after having my son due to hormonal imbalances. It got really bad on one side of my face and i like yourself tried all sorts. I bought a 50ml jar of 'glycolic acid 15% night cream' from a seller (lookgr8ltd) on ebay who sells this type of stuff. If this is something you have not tried already, maybe its worth a go. A friend even bought this who has far more acne than i have and its suited both of us. It gives you a clear explanation of how much to apply etc. hope this helps, All the best, Nik.
