Nothing controls the climate except the sun, moon, wind, rain, and other planetary outward sources. No person or animal controls the climate. Many beasts have been known to feel the changes before humans do....because they dont have other crap happening like paying bills, working or romance. They arent psychic they just feel danger and can see the signs before we do...like ants know when its going to rain, mosquitos know when its summer, snails when to come out after rain...etc. We dont because small climatic changes dont mean absolute survival to us anymore. We are so stressed by the dangers of normal life that we dont the same smack over the head for natural dangers anymore.
No...elephants dont control the climate but they may sense what is naturally about to happen because they rely upon the earth to survive.
People are just dumber to climate things because we have too much else going on in our bigger brains to notice the little things.

Yes, if you stand close enough to one you will be in the shade all the time and live in a cooler climate then someone in direct sun.

If you mean by psionically controlling the weather, no. If you mean by eating plants, absorbing sunlight, releasing methane gas, etc, then yes, but of course they don't know they're doing it and the effect is very small.

Well if by chance the flapping of there ears could influence wind patterns than yes...but that ain't happnin. As we influence our ecosystems by consumption,,, waste...resources so do animals though on way smaller scale.
