About 6 months sounds right. Although, my baby boy didn't sit up by himself 'til about 7 months. I wasn't worried, because every baby is different. He didn't start crawlint 'til he was 11 1/2 months and didn't start walking 'til he was 14 1/2.
But to help your baby, try using a Bobby pillow or any small pillow. It will help him sit up and get practice. Also, make plenty of time for Tummy Time. That will help his neck strength and ability to hold his head up.

in case you've were given a situation, honestly search for suggestion from along with your physician. there's a fairly huge window on those issues even with the undeniable fact that. as long as he's doing different age-suited issues, like babbling, guffawing, reaching for stuff, etcetera, it really is likely no longer something to agonize about - yet your physician can save a beware for issues provided that (s)he's conscious of any skill subject matters. even with the undeniable fact that, do note that some learn exhibits that children are doing such issues as rolling over, sitting up independently, and different issues requiring an excellent form of belly help later than they used to, rather as a results of very actuality they spend so a lot more desirable time on their backs or in automobile companies. remember too that in terms of preemies, if it truly is appropriate, issues have a tendency to take position at adjusted a at the same time as (the age they ought to were born) rather than their "quite" age till they're someplace properly previous a three hundred and sixty 5 days.

When my son went for his 6 month checkup, doctor asked me if he was sitting without support. I had never tried to sit him up, so I said, "Let's see". Of course, he sat up on his own...and I had no idea he could! He had always wanted to be on his tummy attempting the crawling....and started crawling at about 6 1/2 months. He started walking at 9-10 months. Every child is different though......

Usually 6 months is when they just about start, but every child has her own schedule. Proper sitting happens at 8 months. Babies will not be able to get up and sit at that time anyway. u make them sit and they will.

my son actually didn't sit up without support until he was about 8 or 9 months old. shortly after that, he started to crawl. each baby is different. as long as he/she is showing other developmental signs for his/her age, then they are doing ok. don't worry, babies know when they are ready to do things. :-)
