Whether you agree with the legitimacy of Israel's creation and existance, the fact is that palestinians were in the land long before Israel was settled.
the question though is if it's ok, in your point of view, that Israel confiscated palestinian land, kicked them out, left them with nothing, sometimes driving bulldozers into homes with people in it and destroying them. Why is a civilized state like Israel acting so animalistically and violently? I thought it respected human rights, but as i have seen so far with what they did to lebanon, i was horrified to find that they are terrible. Palestinians are treated like animals by Israel and the latter cares the less for them. How can this be acceptable? If ISrael respects human dignity, would it steal their land? Isn't this just like the europeans coming into the americas and stealing the native's lands? I know that Israel was for the jews 2000 years ago....but, is that an excuse to go into a home, kick someone out and live in it?

Looking at what everyone is saying so far ... I'm astonished at the lack of information & the manipulation of facts from the people who are trying to reply to this question.
Historically speaking, Jews were living in the holy lands and then they were sent off across the river to ther area we know now as Iraq. They scattered all over the world and other nations setteled in Phalastine. Arabs were living in that area (christians & muslims and arab jews as well). Then after the world war and the hitler act Jews had a louder voice, and the west especially England at that time felt obliged to shut them off by offering them a land, so at the begining a land in Africa was offered where the jews refused (racial & color issues), so phalastine was offered in exchange of giving the arabs who were fighting the turks the back up they need to get the Turks out ...
So you can't say that arabs only lived there some years before 1948!!!! Check history books mate and you'll see that most of the important monuments in Phalastine were built by arabs (christian & muslims) 2000 years before 1948!!!

First they the Israelis have been in the land for over 3000 years and not 2000 like you said.
Secondly the Palestians have been nomads until the early 1900's when Britain decided to return the land back to Israel. This possess started in 1914 and came to be in 1948.
Thirdly the rest of the Arab countries refused to allow the Palestianans to settle in their land, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, and Trans-Jordan. What they did tell the Palestianians is that if they settled on the land that was Israelis that they would get their own country from it.
Lastly there has been a region called Palestine but never a country thorough the history of the region, 4500 years of recorded history from Egypt.

What about the 900,000. Jews kicked out of the surrounding Arab countries in 1948. You somehow conveniently forget those who lost everything as they ran from brutal destruction as they were ignominiously thrown out of homes and areas they had lived in for centuries! Unlike the majority of "Palestinians"* who gained that status if they could reasonably claim to being in Israel for at least 2 years. Where is their "Right of Return"? Where is their demand for compensation? Where is their outcry for sympathy!!!!!!!

The reason you can forget about them is that Israel accepted them and intigrated them into their itty bitty country.

The Arabs with seven hundred times the land and money of Israel cannot absorb 500,000. who fled Israel not at the decree of Israel herself who desired them to stay, but at the command of Arab nations who wanted them "Out of the way" so they could proceed with their bloodbath and intention of pushing the Jews into the sea.

This is pure B.S. because in 1977 the Syrian government was desperate for people begging the world to come and settle in Syria in order to develop the land. They promised to give large valuable tracts of land to any willing work it: A high ranking Syrian official confirmed this in interviews; "Anyone -Ibos, Koreans, Americans!!!! Anyone, but the "Palestinians" we must keep their hatred directed against Israel"

Justice? Who treats who like animals? The "Palestinians" are nothing but the pawns of the Arab nations and Islam.

Finally if the Jews bow under international pressure and wind up being "driven into the sea" where do you propose they go? Unlike the Arab nations (plural) there is only ONE Nation of Israel for the Jews.

I wish someone would answer this with some amount of thought. Israel is the equivalent of a Jewish matchbook sitting on an Arab/Islamic football field: why do Arabs need half of her?

*(do your homework Palestine is a name made up by the Romans based on Philistine and meant to insult the Jews. And before 1967 referred far more often to Jews than anyone else research "The Palestinan Brigade" Jews fighting for the allies in WWII . "The Palestinian Syphony Orchestra" the "Palestinian Post" even as of the late 1950s local Arabs refused to be called Palestinians and declared "That if there were such a people, they were Jews, NOT Arabs!" At the time of the Balfour agreement 1919 there were fewer than 250,000 Arabs (not all were Muslim though all were living in abject poverty due to Turkish rule) including the nomadic Bedou, in the area of Israel. IThis is based on hard census fact gathering on behalf of the British government.I It wasn't untill after the Jews started to immigrate enmasse and improve the land that the Arabs even claimed a right to the land. A right to work side by side, that Israel did not dispute and in fact encouraged, untill the wars and terrorism made them a bit more carefull. )
