I had met my ex best friend through my then boyfriend who had known her for years, and they were friends. And then my boyfriend and I had a son together and soon after we broke up. She was at first was very kind to me and helped me through everything since I was alone and single mom. And then a year later she turned on me and was really mean to me. She was also started meeting him in secrets (even though him and I were still seeing each other again) and was not inviting me to things like she used to, not hanging out with me anymore and then just started talking ugly and putting me down. So I hated her. We became each other's worst enemies from best friend. And then my boyfriend and I got back together, but I told him I don't want her in our life. In fact, she was always trying to get him to hang out with her without me before. And always trying to keep us apart. He has not talked to her but lately he tells me that he wishes to be friends with her. What do I do?

Your friend has issues about you being with this guy for whatever reason....if you really think its salvageable then all three of you need to sit down and get everything out in the open. Even if you can't make it work, it wasn't because you didn't try. But I question her loyalty to you too...a true best friend never would have stabbed you in the back like that and if it were me personally then I would be very cautious about how much I let her back into my life if any at all....

she likes him but he just sees her as a friend and sex buddy - yes, they have slept together and have kept it from you - that's why her attitude towards you changed. he does not feel the same way towards her as he feels towards you and she knows it - that's why she's mean and competitive. She will continue to sleep with him because it's the only way she can keep his attention. you need to confront him and have an honest dialogue.
I know this because I've been there.
