Today in Iran the majority is upset by its minority controllers (16 Jul. (IPS) - but they will unite if there is a common enemy. This is a well trod path. The Roman Catholic Religion ad 0500 - Henry 8th's C of E - Exporting Communism Russia in 1916 etc.
Today's terrorism isn't the fault of its Muslim's host, but belief mixed with governance makes it an easy target in some areas.
Could we question this problem in Yahoo and spread our action wider until the people of this world unite in the same question?
Could we use the internet to do this before someone pulls the plug on all life?
We could start by creating more questions to provide more answers in the same vein.

A marvelous Question and comments! I, and i think there are others our there who share your views. I too wish something could be done about it. It's nice to see you have an unbiased understanding of the state of the world.

The way religion, culture, national borders, language, colour are used to group people in opposition of each other is terrible. If it were something new to arise, it would be considered a cult, but since these are age-old tools originating from centuries ago it's all mankind has ever known. It shameful that these concepts are still managing to have an effect on people lives and beliefs today.

We are a single human race, not several all in direct competition with one another. Perhaps an independent/unbiased world government would be better than all the ones we have now, looking out for themselves while screwing over the rest.

Wars that have taken place seem these days to be more like little boys playing Army and on a few decisions made by corrupted people wars and invasions take place. If it wasn't for these governments would normal every day working people be bothered about grabbing the nearest weapon and heading off to war?

It's a shame the 6.3 Billion+ people in this world are goverened and controlled by a handful of people who seem to cause more havoc on an international scale than good.

There's so much to talk, but i'll leave my contriubtion there.

Thanks and well done for your posting!

hi , Ive studied the middle east and they have been at war in one form or another for thousands of years and i think its because the land is so rich in oil etc that they seem to get ruled so much ,at the moment the terrorist war is directed at the west , but if you remember the crusades and all who died in those then we see a pattern in things the christian killed many including all the witch trials etc . The middle east is a collection of states that have never known freedom or lasting peace ,Iran and its morality police cause me great cause for concern . So really the Arab states are infants in the reign of there own land , America being the baby of countries and yet having to take the role of big brother is a joke , they don't have the history or experience for the job. The UN giving Israel to the Jews has caused this current instability and i can totally understand why the Palestine's and Lebanese people are still angry along with Israels land grabs and sonic booms over the area when it was supposedly peace. How can we fight terrorism is stop supporting the governments that think its still OK to go into the middle east willy nilly and let the people of the land govern themselves completely without western intervention. idealistic but my opinion none the less

Your question is so long that I got bored before I got to the end, but your statement that the world's Muslims are the terrorist's victims twice over, should be noted. The terrorists in Lebanon are parasites, hiding behind the locals. The Muslims in Northern Israel were also hit by Hezbollah's rockets. Saddam made it plain that when he fired rockets at Israel, he did not care what happened to the Muslims there.
The only solution is for the world to take united stand against all the Muslim terrorists without pretending there is any difference between them.
