so I didn't know Israel had a president. you always hear about the prime minister here and there and not a word about the president.
I don't understand why though, doesn't he have enough power? or is it like Britain where the queen is a symbol and the prime minister is the
real power?

Represent. The president has mostly repersentational duties, the real power is prime minister. He makes the decisions with the help of Kneset ( the parliament)

Ceremonial position. Attends state functions, building dedications, represents the country overseas, etc.

President of Greece is a ceremonial position, for example.
