He is just having a bad year all around. Because of the size of his contract and his lack of performing (especially with RISP) in the clutch this year, Alex's offensive and defensive production is highlighted, magnified, and portrayed as inadequate or substandard compared to a normal year for him. He is not having an Arod year per se, but still a pretty good average to above average season. Real Yankee fans should be grateful each day to be able to watch and cheer for a player of Arod's abilities. He is going to have a great playoff run.

He is having an average year. I think everyone expects him to have an Ortiz type year, every year. I'm a Yankee fan and I still like watching him play. The only think I wish is that he would knock in the run on third base with less then two outs a little more.

Yankee fans are discovering that A- Rod is a good but not a great ballplayer. In clutch situations great ballplayers want to be there and respond appropriately ,good ballplayers have their doubts. A-Rod chokes in the clutch and New Yorkers have absolutely no sympathy for pampered rich athletes that choke, nor should they
BTW Emily, What do you expect Jeter to do ? Walk over to A-Rod and put his arm around him in a modern day version of the Pee Wee Reese/ Jackie Robinson " This man is my friend "gesture ?

He's not in a slump, a slump is a week or two, he hasnt hit since LAST September, he cant handle being in New York. He's always put up good numbers, but he's NEVER hit in the clutch when any team needed him.

Yeah he's not hitting well and is still hitting 280 something. Personally, i don't think he handles the pressure of New York as well as he handled the "pressure" of Texas. And for 25 mil a year, apparently the NY fans expect more from him than 23 errors.

He needs out of New York, if they don't win the World Series again, they definately need to get rid of the guy because for sure he is a curse. Why did Seattle and Texas get better after he left? Coincidence? I think not.

He will get his check if he hits or not. He sux, the Yankees Suck. Jeeter Sux. For the money they are paying the Yanks, They should win every game by 10 or more runs. He is just like the owner, Greedy. As long as he gets payed he dont care.

well for some reason yankee fans have been boo-ing him and jeter doesnt tell them to back off even though that's his job as captin and they would stop if he told them to. i <3 a-rod and jeter anyway.. but i think if jeter told the crowd not to boo a-rod he would get better batting (he is affected by the crowd the most out of all the yankees)
