Actually, no. Watching porn isn't a crime. Sending it through the mail is, but only if it is considered "obscene."

Depends on what you consider porn. If you think people under 18 committing sex acts is porn then YES viewing it is a crime. Just as making it is a crime, and distribution is a crime. Now if you go to a porn store(adult book store) or a legit online site and buy it where they have a disclaimer that all models are 18 or older then it isn't a crime to view it at home. Just make sure you draw the shades because it can be called obscene if you do that in plain view.

First, it is difficult to be sure of your question because of how you phrased it.
If watching porn were a crime, there would hardly be anyone here to talk to.
If the question were does viewing porn enable you to committ a crime? Well, adultry and sodomy are crimes in some states. You tell us? What does viewing porn make you do?

It depends on the person, I believe for the majority of people its simply something to watch, I'm speaking about normal acts between consenting adults; for the rest of the sicko stuff out there..... well that's where the problems come from but its all put under the same umbrella.

No it isn't a crime.

The where you do it is. The who you do it with might be. If you make certain forms of it and view and possess those forms is. But as a general statement, it is not.

True! It encourages people to film/take pictures that are of a pornographic content, never mind can encourage some to develop instincts they didn't realise were there.
