Control panels are used by many web hosting companys to make website management much easier.
One of the most popular is CPanel. Which I've had extensive use with when setting up web hosting services for users and in my opinion is much easier to set up and manage than others.

Control Panel can access all of your main window functions such as where you change your settings and your background. Other features is changing your fonts and keyboard settings. You also can add and remove hardware in control panel. Just be careful of the when changing settings. You access control panel by clicking my computer on the desktop or start in the right corner of your task bar and contorl panel.
