cellular may be on the right track, but I am concerned he may have been short on detail. You can get an external housing that converts an internal disk drive into an external. You can get them in either USB 2.0 or serial. I use a "Disk Go" USB 2.0 IDE hard disk drive enclosure. If you are using windows XP I find that after connecting the drive to the computer that windows automatically recognises the new drive, & sets it up for you, & then you can access your files. You can find them at www.tigerdirect.ca (Canada) or www.tigerdirect.com (USA)

there are many ways of hooking it up but the easiest and cheapest would be to slave it off the cdrom since I'm assuming your primary ide controller is handling the other two drives. otherwise you can purchase a promise card then u could have four hard drives on the promise card and three hard drives and a cdrom on your mbd ide controllers.

Hook it up on the Secondary IDE channel.
