Lately my heart feels like its about to beat out of my chest for any movement I do, but when I jump on my exercise bike for 30 minutes, it beats normally. When my heart beats rapidly, I don't have no chest pain, no pain radiating down my arm and I don't feel light headed. My EKG was normal but my blood pressure was a tad bit high (122/84). What does this means?

How do you feel at the time when your heart starts racing? Do you feel anxious about something, like work or something you have to do that day. I sometimes get rapid heartbeats when I think about work, even though there's nothing going on that is upsetting, it still gives me an anxiety attack. Before you go to the doctor, the next time it happens, lay down, and start breathing deeply and slowly, count 4 times in , 4 times hold and 4 times let out, If that helps, it could be anxiety, its something we have no control over, it comes sometimes from your subconscious, however we can control it once its there by the breathing. I hope this helps.

If the heart beat rate is rapid it is not a unusual thing ,it should not be frequently fluctuating ; keep record of your blood pressure readings on monthly basis with time to help doctor to help you .
