I never thought it was trendy to be gay. I am gay and I was never considered "cool" because I was gay. When I was in high school I received more negative attention than positive.
If you think it's trendy to be gay or bisexual you might have a problem of just wanting to be cool and different. You cannot make yourself gay so just be yourself....nowadays being real and true to yourself is what makes a person cool.

If by "trendy" you mean that in some places people are less comfortable shouting slurs at us in public, then yes. Anyone who thinks being gay is trendy needs to travel through the middle of the U.S. sometime. Last time my partner and I did that we were screamed at from a passing truck while leaving a Pizza Hut. Yeah...trendy.

The media make it seem trendy but it's not. For every person that is accepting, there is 10 who'd stone us....
No way is it trendy. Look up the name "Matthew Sheppard" if you can. I think that's the right way to spell his surname. The school kid was killed by hate-filled bigots. See what they did to him and where they left him. After you've gone pale, thrown up a week's worth of food and need some therapy to get over the images and the whole documentary, come back and talk to me....... little_princess_2001au@yahoo. com . au ... then tell me how trendy it is to be gay.

Trendy?
Says who?
Since when?
Haven't you read all the anti-gay/anti-lesbian comments/questions people write in this section?
Hardly anyone believes that being gay or bisexual is trendy.

I'm not sure I would describe it as "trendy." I would say that it's more socially acceptable to be honest about it today. So, if you're seeing an increase in people identifying as gay or bisexual, that would be my guess as to why.

It's not "trendy", that perception is nothing more than media hype. The media loves to be "Edgy" and controversy rules the airwaves.
