we have laptop with wireless internally, we have cable internet, what do we need to make wireless.?

we want wireless in our home. We have been told we dont need anything, told we need hub, told we need router, then told we only need router if connecting two computers???We only have one, the laptop. We just want to be able to use in the house without having to be hooked up in the same room as the cable connection. Help.

Connect the internet service provider cable to the modem, then connect to the wireless router.
Then you can access the network through your laptop wireless receiver.
Don't forget to configure password for the router or else your neighbour can steel your internet access (",)

u definitely need a wireless router that needed to b connected to ur cable modem.then u need to connect ur laptop to it through wire connecton to set up.once these r done...u r ready to go wireless.
