If you park your car in the front yard...your a RN.
If you display the Confederate flag with pride... your a RN
If you actually carry rifles on your gunrack in the truck...your a RN.
If a cap is part of your dressup attire...your a RN.

well other than the obvious of having red on their neck, they must live in a trailer, they must have a front lawn that looks like a junk yard, they must wear the same suspenders day in and day out, they must be missing at least 2 front teeth which will cause their S's to sound like a whistling sound, they must have a wheat straw in their mouths while talking to you and say "y'all" alot, they call all animals "critters", and they must be married to their sister, mother, and/or daughter.
You need to fill all this criteria in order to be considered a redneck

Redneck=uneducated gubment-cheese eating bleach blonde with dark roots wearing house slippers, smoking Virginia Slims, watching The Price is Right on her fat *** while her 8 kids (all from different fathers) run thru the trailer park with wild abandon.

when i think redneck i think of these things
missing teeth
flanel shirt - sleeves
dirty hat from some bait and tackle shop
jeans with holes in the kness
chain drive wallet that is bigger than the back pocket
old pickup with $5000.00 worth of tires and lift kit and other various parts to make it go faster throught the mud with their head hanging out the window yelling YEEEEEEHAAAAAAAA!!!

Old term or new term? Nowadays they call anyone from the country a redneck, when I was growing up in the '60's in the deep south it was a mean nasty backwoods idiot and no one purposely called themselves rednecks. Now though it seems to be "cool" to call yourself that. I'm just good old country folk myself.

If they have junk cars or lawnmowers in their yard, and keep christmas lights on their house year round, they might be rednecks.
Or if they live in a trailer that has a roof built over it, they might be rednecks.
