I should explain this better:

1)Your global policy is criminal under international conventions. You brake most of international laws: wars illegal under the international UN laws; torture of prisoners of war (there is no such things as illegal combatants); colluding with states that brake international laws; arming illegal groups (the Taliban for one, yes them); etc..
2)Having no environmental responsibility: not signing the Kyoto protocol; not properly regulating CO2 emissions; driving stupidly large cars; etc…
3)Gun laws
4)Obesity
5)Christian movements
6)Being totally unaware of anything outside the US
7)Voting for a president that is quoted as saying “today most of the imports come from abroad”
8)Ridiculous social security systems that make the poor poorer
9)Etc…

Here is a typical answer (though I understand not all of you are so ignorant):

Walter Ridgeley
Level 3

Ok, you're an expat living in the People's Republic of ???

Here's the deal, Binky, the US is a GREAT place to live and it's simply not necessary to be well-informed. End of story.

BTW, those of us that ARE well-informed own firearms (duh) and consider you disarmed types to be at the mercy of the predators roaming the landscape.

What's that you say? You're not at the mercy of the predators 'cause you live in a nice part of town? No doubt - but, in case you haven't figured it out yet, THAT'S the reason you can hold the "all citizens should be disarmed" point of view.

The poor you claim to care so much about (ref #8) don't live in your spiffy neighborhood (or one like it) and benefit greatly from being able to defend themselves with the sorts of weapons that cause the predators to move on and look for easier targets.

Oh, I forgot, get off your high horse and come o

Hasn't anyone ever told you that sterotyping is bad.

Your explanations and mine:
1. The global policy happens to be with the government and I would have to say that most americans aren't in Washington making every decision. You can not judge the people of the country based on the decisions made by the government.
2. Hmmm try driving a bike all the way accross Texas. It isn't easy mainly because this country is HUGE and we need a gas guzzling vehicles.
3. Well the amendent was placed so the citizens can protect themselves from the British and plus what is even wrong with our gun laws?
4. We have food. Whats wrong with that? And thats a generalization...I only know a few people that are actually obese.
5. I cannot even see how Christian movements are making our country ignorant. Do you happen to be an athiest. Because that would explain a lot.
6. Again hasty generalization...tons of americans know what is happening outside of the US. Do you not read the other questions?
7. I like my president so get off his back. You don't have him as a president so get a life.
8. You obviously don't understand Social Security because the money that is taken in is helping the elderly. It is true that it is going to go bankrupt but thats what the president has being trying to tell all the dumb democrats.
9. etccc....

I'd just like to say to Walter - you kinda prove the point a bit by thinking that The Basque region is Landlocked!!!!!!

But seriously I go to LA every year and as with any nationality especially Brits - they become idiots when they are away from home. I have always found Americans in America as very pleasant well mannered, friendly people and alot i've met travelling are the same. As for the choice of president - come on - was there really a choice - and I can tell you for a fact that they are selling T-shirts down on Venice Beach which have pictures of both Bush's with the words "dumb and dumber" under them. If i had a dollar for every American who has told me that they wish Tony Blair was their president - i'd be very rich!!! As for Obesity - you ever been to LA? there's a reason why the beach boys wished they all could be californian!!

I agree about the gun laws and the social security system as I saw someone get knocked down and a woman ran up shouting "oh my god - he's been shot" and people dont realize that an armed public guarantees armed criminals!! And a guy with one leg in a wheelchair with blood gushing from it only got a bandage from the fire department - which to us is unbelievable!!

But overall - I have met a good deal of ignorant Brits - chavs who make an episode of jerry springer look like the sound of music. Brits who are not interested in saving the environment and pollute like its going out of fashion. The population of the USA is around 200 million and the UK is 60 million - i think percentage wise you'll find as many dickheads in both countries!

1. Yes, we torture people. We have been known to put underwear on their heads, and parade them around on a leash lead by a woman. We need to take a chapter out of the Saddam book, and be kind to prisoners.

2. If I don't drive an SUV, where am I going to store all my CO2 tanks? My goodness, the earth is getting 1 degree warmer every 100 years. It's almost like its a cycle or something!

3. Yeah, the only ones that should have guns are the ones who wouldn't follow laws forbiding them.

4. not me.

5. some people are christians. They could be worse.

6. I'm sorry if I didn't know the prime minister of Uzbekistan is Shavkat Mirziyayev

7. Sorry, next time I'll vote for a guy who is a better public speaker than one who has morals, and is willing to protect my country (and world) from fanatics.

8. How does social security make the poor more poor? That just doesn't make sense. I say, let people work, and save for their future. Start taking responsibility for yourself, and stop relying on others to take care of you.

9. etc...

1) everybody hates us until they need us.
2) Kyoto is a joke. Your carbon trading is a scam. Research it.
3) Not a particular fan of guns, but agree within reason, that it is an important part of our constitution.
4) Are you mocking obese people?
5) Religious freedom man. Got a love it.
6) What? I knew there was something out there.
7) Imports are goods shipped into our country from other countries like MEXICO (not abroad but right next door). So technically what our President said was correct. You had a lot to choose from, you could of done better.
8) True, that's why we need to privatize, however, we are still better off than other countries that we need to cut benefits, as Germany and Sweden are doing. Nothing worse than pissing off the people.
9)etc.

actually, we kicked all the ignorant assholes out of our country in the 1700's. Primarily from 1776-1783. The only ones left now are the Democrats. either way, as an American I'll say this. We couldnt give a **** what any of you jerkoffs think. Our standard of living is higher than any place in the world. You even mentioning the Kyoto treaty shows your own ignorance. What can you tell us about how successful its been and how environmentally responsible its members are genius? Go **** yourself. No doubt your probably some ***** Canadian.

Hey Dude, I am an nam'erkin2 and expatriate to boot: what u say is vacuous and silly.

America offers CHOICE !

Get it ?

Even if you care to, an opportunity of labeling our Commander in Chief a monkey, and unbelievably, it HAS been done.

Try that elsewhere, let me 'splain it to you, plain and simple it just work work. Mind you, other than US , I know two other countries well: Malaysia and Italy. Uniformity, conformism, boredom, political correctness that is treackly and phoney like 40W crankcase oil.

Travel the world a bit and you'll know.

On one count however, you may have something...up to a point.

When I retired overseas (my wife's birth country) some wiseacres attacked me as "traitor" for leaving.

Never could figure out where that one came from.

Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel!
There are 300 million Americans. How many people where you come from? We have the most successful civilization in the history of human kind.

There are mistakes made by our government, but we correct that every few years if we want to.

Are kids are fat because we are rich.

Some of the stuff you have written is true. In a population like ours about anything anyone can write could be true.

About religion. We are free to worship, or not worship any religion or God we choose. Can you say the same?

1) In my opinion, international laws should never trump sovereign laws of individual countries. Nations who agree to them are setting up their own fate to be governed by the multinational globalist corporations who established the UN.

That being said, I agree that the US is run by a criminal cabal who murders, manipulates, steals, lies, and deceives. After decades of gradually increasing control and media propaganda, many Americans sense that there's a serious problem in government but are unable to separate patriotism from judging their political leadership.

2) I drive a Ford Expedition. It's huge. It also helps me carry a family of seven, which smaller cars won't do. I have no problem with it.

3)The worlds most successful implementors of gun control were Hitler, Stalin, and Mao. If you agree with their disarmament of the citizens, then you should support gun control. If you believe that citizens should have the means to defend against a corrupt regime, you should oppose gun control.

4)I've seen plenty of obesity around the world. It's more prevalent in the US because of the media campaigns and marketing of unhealthy products. I can promise you that those countries with less obesity have less marketing and corporate influence over their populations.

5)Why would you attack Christianity? In my opinion, the message of peace and love for all of God's creation is a good thing, not bad. We need more Christainity, not less.
Note: I'm not talking about those who call themselves Christians but promote hate. I'm talking about Christians.

6)This is intentional, as part of the media and educational system. The liberal establishment practically ignores the rest of theo world in the US educational system. They are growing a population whose world view can be formed by the globalist media, who manipulate the population into supporting tyrannical behavior overseas. I don't blame the people, I blame the corporatists who have occupied the government and indoctrinated the population via poor education.

7)Media deception, voter manipulation, and control of political parties.

8)I agree. Social Security is a racket for those in charge of it's managemnet to steal our money and use it for their globalist and socialist programs. it should be eliminated. People fared better when families took responsibilities for themselves, rather than handing it to a corrupt government.
