I live in Africa and i know how easy it is to get false passports & birth certificate's and now with Obafemi Martins Age been exposed from 21 years and now all of a sudden he played in a youth team with Celestine Babyaro who is 28 so Martins must be at least 27. No wonder he is so QUICK for his age. I think ADU must be at least 21-22 years old. Africans cant help CHEATING there age. Does anyone else have other stories like this?

he claims to be 17,so according to U.S records he is 17, but I don't think he is 17 though he looks like he is 25.

Officially, he turned 17 in June. While I'm sure he could have fudged his age a year or two, there is no way that he is 21-22 years old. He came to the US when he was 8 or 9 and played soccer. It may be easy for an 21 year old to claim he's 17...but when you do the beer math it's tough for an 8 year old to say he's only 4. He was documented/noticed in the States at a young age which makes it much more difficult to play to age game that others do.

Freddie is now playing professional soccer, so if he is older than his stated age, it no longer matters. When he was playing as a youth, he played up in age group as well. Much ado about nothing, I think!
