i ws watching the match between pakistan and england(i dont belong to either of the counteries)
and there ws one flag with a red sort of a plus sign on it and another the red white and blue stripes one

Britain is made up of several areas: England, Wales, Scotland, etc. The white flag you saw was the English flag. Collectively, these regions are known as "Great Britain." That's the Blue and Red one.
Kind of like state flags and the American flag here in the US.

Kind of... The white flag with the red cross id the flag of St. George it is the official flag of England the union jack is the flag of the United Kingdom which includes England, Scotland et al.

the union jack is for the whole of the UK, Like england, Scotland, wales and n. irl and the one with the red cross is just for England
