been friends for 12yrs, we've changed and he just annoys me now!

that's going to be tough given the amount of history you guys have. having said that there may be no need to dissolve the friendship if this person was truly your fiend. just be honest and encourage your friend to relate to you on a different level.

First... Be completely sure that you two cannot get thru this. Many of my friends and myself have had times where we just annoy the crap out of eachother, but somehow manage to salvage our relationship and work it out. If you NO longer want to be friends and you are sure, Just tell him. "look... We've been friends for a long time, but we've grown apart, and I dont want to continue this friendship" and leave fast. Because if you stick around, the other person may become insulted or frustrated and take it out on you. Good luck

Don't you at least want to try and fix what's annoying about him or get over it? How can you throw away a friendship that lasted 12 years?
But if that's what you want then just let things fade. When he wants to talk, don't pick up all the time. When he wants to hang out, tell him you have things to do, etc.

Do nothing! Don't call, don't go when invited, always come up with an excuse, if you have caller I.D. don't answer the phone, when you do talk be short saying nothing or tell them you've got to go and that you were just walking out. It will eventually fizzle out!

It´s really sad to end a friendship, why don´t you just stay away for a while and maybe you´ll miss your friend.
Always remember friends are not easily found!

Just distance yourself, without being rude! After all this time he has to love you, and you him. Respect that and honor it! Hey if nothing else try to see him through Gods eyes, its always a prettier picture!

Give him distance. Distance can do a lot to any relationship especially one you don' t want to be in. These things happen people grow apart.

i can't end an nice friend ship easily there must be an big reason.
may be yr friend becomes bad friend or u are bored from him/her.
but that happened to me i'm bored from my friend after 6 years friendly.she became bored.if u want to end yr friendly ship u can by stay away from that friend.
