There was this boy called Monty, when he was a child he used to play around the riverside, he and a cousin of mine. After a little while they would disappear, and reappear. Until one day they went swimming and whoop! they both disappeared. Tyrone went down into the water, and Monty disappeared into the air. Everybody believed they'd drowned.
Years after they appeared again. Tyrone went away to America. How he got there nobody knows. He came back when he was a big man. He has a good job in America. He is a priest, he's got his own church, he mostly deals with Water Mamma.
Monty came back earlier. He had powers. He could make things disappear. He could do magic. He could control spirits. His power came from the air elements.
But he started to tell people what had happened, where he'd been to, how it was in the air kingdom. He went out of his head, started talking wild and like a madman.
Monty lost everything and became a wandering man because he talked too much.
This is a true story. It happened in Scottsburg, about thirty years ago.
