unfortunately, I have TOO many on my shelf that I haven't read. I just haven't gotten around to them yet...and when the library book sale rolls around every year and you're buying used books for 50 cents each, you're shelves get kinda full! oh well...I'm working on it!

not only on my book shelf but waiting in boxes. I have more than 100 that I haven't read. Why? I love books, and I love bargains. and I love the library. So, when I find a book at a good price (especially the last hour of the library books sale - when you get a bag of books for a dollar or two) I buy it. But I also love the ease and convienance of the library (and hate the deadlines...) since I have to read the library stuff but I will always have my books, I will always have a backlog.

I sure do! I love to read so much that whenever I have money I go out & buy some books. I get them for Christmas & my birthday, too. I have so many that I don't know when I'll get a chance to read them, but I'll eventually get around to them. I always do. I think right now I have 25 books on my shelf that I haven't read, yet.

I have lots of books I've never read. I buy them mostly because they're clearanced or bargain books. Because of the low price...at least in the store...they seem to be really interesting and fun. And then when I get home they go on the shelf. I typically am always busy reading other books and never get around to everything.

Always, more then 50 but that's just a guess. My wife and I have a hard time going by any bookstore. Sometimes we walk out of a used bookstore with 20 or 30 at a time. We read them when we have time. I like the fact that I can go and find a book totally different then what I am presently reading for a change of pace at any time. We read whenever we can just for the joy reading.

I've got probably close to two hundred. I collect books and stick them up on the shelf, when its time to start a new one I go to the shelf and have a huge selection. A personal library.
There are several hundred more up there that I have read, by the way.

I know I have several. Most of them are ones that my mum has put on my book shelf because there's been room for them, and they haven't interested me to read them yet.
I know that there are definitely two books I haven't read/ completed. They are Selma Lagerlöf's "The wonderful adventures of Nils" and "The further adventure of Nils". I vaguely remember starting the first book, but it was hard to get into and I never finished it, so there seemed to be no reason to actually start reading the second one.

Over 60, I lost count. Why? Because I'm a compulsive book buyer. No matter how hard I try, I'll buy more books than I can read, not to mention books I borrow from the library. I also like owning books. I think bookshelves look great in my living room.

i got at least 100 books in my shelf that i haven't read. most of them are my parents old books that they gave to me.
and when i go to bookstores, i usually end up buying more books than i plan, and then i haven't got the time to read all that. but it's nice to find some reading on my shelf when i can't go out.

I have read a large majority of my books, but I have two books that I have started reading but have not finished: Royall Tyler's translation of "The Tale of Genji," and Susannah Clark's "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell." I have around ten or so that I haven't started reading yet - mostly my small collection of Anne McCaffrey and Terry Pratchett books that my friends gave me for Christmas.
I suppose the reason why I don't get around to reading them is that I always buy books, and I end up reading those before I even decide to read the ones that I haven't read. Silly of me, but I get sidetracked easily, especially when I've bought a particularly interesting new novel and I cannot wait to get cracking and read it.
