I always seem to imagine that they go behind my back bad-mouthing me about my colour, particularly the white people. I know how cruel and two-faced people can be

I understand but I think you are being a little quick to judge. U should try to find some friends from different races and maybe it will ease your mind a little bit. Don't get me wrong, there are some ignorant people out there but that's there problem not yours. Any intelligent person that heard whoever "badmouthing you about your color" would know who the real idiot is. Being white, I've ran across many people who think it's ok to say little comments bordering racism around me because I am the same color as them.....from that moment the respect I have for them is forever lost and I never take them seriously again. Go ahead and let them make fools of themselves and don't worry yourself about it.

I am soz to hear that but I have to tell u that u are setting urself up for a tough life! Maybe u smoke something coz that is just paranoia. My sister is the same as you and I am constantly trying to get her out of that mindframe and I suggest u seek some help too. Every race is the same and have good and bad and you are stereotyping them into a clique. How would u feel if they do the same to ur race?

You are always going to feel slightly nervous, especially if you are greatly out numbered. The most important thing is to remember to take people as individuals. Don't jump to the conclusion of racism. Let them prove that to you if necessary. Also, don't confuse "novelism" with racism. My housemates have never had a black friend before and they're always going on about my thick hair or my Jamaican accent, but it's only because they've never experienced it before. I just educate them, and we all have a laugh about our differences.

Be yourself! Give people a chance...

I'm around white people all the time and, yea, they stare sometimes, primarily because my husband is white and we have a daughter.

My advice - Who gives a fuk what people say behind your back. People are going to talk crap about you regardless of your race. They'll just find anything if they're that type of person.

Continue to live life and be yourself. If losers want to talk s h i t when you're not around, let them. Personally, I take it as a compliment when people discuss me when i'm not around, regardless of what's being said. It means I made a mark and i'm in their heads. And that's where I like to be. : )

Start with yourself. Know this : there is only one race "the human race". That is IT. We are all the same and do not believe anything else for yourself not anyone around you. Do not give anyone the power to think that you are different. Remind yourself daily that you are a part of the whole : the human race".

Everyone is afraid of the unknown - perhaps you don't know enough about others to feel comfortable around them. You may not believe this, but all white people are not racists. Most of us don't spend our valuable time bad mouthing anyone. I try not to view people by the color or origin, but by their willingness to love and accept others.

you feel just as nervous around white people as we feel being around Asian and Muslim people,we have every right to feel as we do with the things that have happened here in beautiful England ,there is only one solution ask for repatriation, we shall all be happy then and i an sure your nervousness will go just as soon as you are surrounded by you own people and culture.

Dude, I don't like for black people to touch me. I also think Mexicans should be more like the Puerto Ricans and try to look sexy. Poor things and their fat eyebrows, wrinkled brown faces, and unhealthy eating habits.

It is natural to feel nervous around people who are different than us. Maturity and a sincere effort to understand "different people" will help soothe those nerves.
