I posted yesterday re an object that fell on my computer and got some suggestions about my audio card being jarred loose. So I opened it up and couldn't figure out which is the audio card. I checked all the connections and all cards/ boards seemed solidly in place though. Any other suggestions?

the audeo card is the one you plug your speakers in
check you have pluged into the green one that is sound out
check you have power to your speakers.
open control panal / sounds and audio devices
check to see if mute is ticked (untick it )click on advanced inthat area check others are not muted ( done )
right click my computer / properties hard ware / device manager
check for any "?" with yellow or green background if sothere is under sound , etc reinstall your sound and video drivers

What audio card is it, try and get the latest sound card drivers for your specific sound card ( which you should be able to get from there website )
Also if you have another computer maybe try the sound card on that one to make sure it still works ( only do this as a very last resort though )
What you could do is to right click on my computer --> properties --> hardware --> device manager and go to audio and sound deviecs and right click on the sound card and un install it.
Then restart and windows should detect new hardware ( that or you may see an unknown device which could be your sound card )
With regards to the drivers , do you still have the installation disc for the sound card ?

Dropping something on the PC could mean that you have jarred a PCi card from it's slot.
