Which is worse to say to someone?????

a woman says to a man "ew gross" when she by accident caught him jerking off

or
a man saying to a woman..."youre a useless, retarded and sexually lame" ? ? ? which should cause more anger and "pain"?

I am asking because, the man in question, above.... felt more of a reaction from simply "ew gross" he said that caused pain and anger...... yet showed NO reaction to the latter . what does that make him?

I would say what the man said to the woman was worse. HOWEVER, if he said that to her after she had just said "eew gross" when she walked in on him beating off, she probably realized that it was just retaliation on his part for her saying he was gross, and that he probably didn't mean it.

I think the latter is worse, a man saying such a horrible thing to a woman. I mean, masturbating is a private thing for most people, so I think a normal reaction would be one of shock and "ew gross" if one were to catch another jerking off. But for a man to tell a woman that she is useless alone is hurtful, not to mention adding that she is retarded and not good in bed. That statement would hurt a women, even a man, more than just saying something is gross. I think one of the worst things to happen to anyone is to make them feel worthless and unimportant, which is what the latter statement would do.

the "man in question" can probably relate more to the man receiving the insult, than the the woman receiving the insult. Personally, i think the "useless retarded and sexually lame" comment is way worse. It's very pointed and malicious, where the "ew gross" is more of a gut reaction of surprise. Probably anyone who walked in on that would have the same reaction. Not many people are going to go about telling women "you're useless, retarded and sexually lame"

Any person who calls someone useless is probably that themselves. What an awful thing to say to someone! The ew gross comment was probably just reactionary to the woman having caught someone doing something private, while the abusive reply was way way horrible. Anyone ever called me that, it would be the last thing the ever said to me, because I would totally write them off as if they never existed.

The attacks are different...one is for doing an act that we usually figure is private, and the other one attacks her performance as a person and a sexual partner.

I would imagine the second one to be more psychologically damaging in the long term, whereas the first one may cause anger but no permanent damage. It's not gonna stop him from continuing what he does next day.

I experienced it once that wifey came in and I was shaking my friends hand. She felt insulted and ran out. Was furious after and could not understand I held my friend while she was there to do it for me. Even so, it hurt my feelings a lot. Guys jerk of, many times, it's nature and it is nothing personal. So I agree that it left feelings of hurt but it is in no means comparable to his remarks. It shows that there is absolutely no respect coming from his side. I think there is a big problem and a good solution would be to take some distance from each other. That's one thing for sure.
