Liberalism is Communism painted with a lighter color.

Liberals want less punishment for criminals.

Liberals want to give voting rights to felons -- to build their voter base.

Liberals want to give rights to Illegal aliens in order to build their voter base.

Liberals wish to take away the wealth of those who are willing to work to fatten the lazy.....again to build a voter base.

Liberals want more restrictions on law abiding. Such as banning the right to self defense so the criminal can control the streets.

Liberals wish to give American sovereignty to the United Nations which would entail dissolving the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

Liberals wish to dissolve or restrict Christian Church's that do not agree with the Liberal values.

Liberal leaders tell the people one thing and they themselves do another. Al Gore is not green nor are the rest of the enviro-wackos

Liberals do not like dissension ....look what they did to Joe Libermann

Liberalism is loaded with Hypocrisy (Do as I say - not as I do)

I've always believed that everyone's rights extend as far as possible, until they encounter someone else's rights. Liberalism is approaching this line, but it really hasn't trespassed over it too much yet, which is good, because the balance point should be exactly on this line.
For example, if someone feels that it is their right to criticize a people group or a faith, then it is other people's right to criticize that opinion. If they feel said person should resign, then they are free to hold that opinion. If the majority feels someone should resign, then they should, because democracy is "governance by the people." Whatever the majority feels, the government should do, provided that it protects the rights of the minority.
As individuals, people should have complete freedom within their own sphere.
So far, I see that happening; therefore, liberalism is not taking away freedoms in the name of freedom.
I am worried, however, about people resigning their rights in the name of security. This could be the destruction of minority rights if left unchecked, and this is what liberalism of today needs to fight for.

Hoesbunny...you got it wrong....you need to pay attention to history. For those who forget the past are condemned to repeat the mistakes in the future.

Now with 9/11 let us digress to WW2. Think of all the suffering and destruction that would of been prevented if the world didn't listen to Chamberland and attacked Nazi Germany and took out Hitler when they first violated the Treaties agree ti after WW1

Now today, look at the restrictions and taxes that the left has imposed on America and with limited free speech.

Yes, limited...the left gets the freedom and the right gets called names. Look at the laws that have been passed to restrict decent people while the criminal roams free.

I do agree that Liberalism is taking away freedom in the name of freedom. I strongly believe that Conservatism is attempting to preserve freedom and the freedom of those who wish to remain moral.

In my opinion and views, Liberals are the most intolerant in the manner that they condemn Christians and Jews for their moral values.

Yes! With Political Correct speech (thought police), gun control, control of private property, PETA, other Left wing organizations and the Liberals desire to place the United States under the control of the UN. I feel that our freedoms are being eliminated in the name of freedom and our Constitution is being perverted.

The Constitution and Bill of Rights are black and white documents. How can anyone today think they know what was ment by the founding fathers, unless they read other writings and documents.

For Example: The phrase; Separation of Church and States is not mentioned in our Constitution or Bill of Rights.

In the Federalist Papers, being armed is Individual not collective. The militia act required all male citizens to maintain at least one arm of military caliber and 20 rounds of ammunition.

Liberalism doesn't conflict with freedom. It is conservatism that attempts to stifle the rights of others in order to preserve what they concider to be "moral values".
