You handled it well, you stood up and said what needed to be said. I would not tell my partner. If he had tried to seduce you yes, but I would buy a different purfume for work and keep the one that got the attention just for your hubby! Don't tell him, it could cost your job and if a fuss is made about it could cost you friends at work too.

if smelling your perfume in the work place is over the line... perhaps you should only wear it at home. i see nothing wrong with complementing a person on their perfume, but if you do then you should remove the source. you told this coworker your limits, and he said he was sorry. you should wait and see if he respects your limits as a decent coworker would. if he doesn't, then you should take the matter to the appropriate people within the the work place. ie: human resources, or higher up person. if the matter goes to the next level then i would inform the spouse. this could be a simple misunderstanding, and if you tell your spouse knowing he has a violent spark before you give your coworker a chance to respect your limits, then you just wanted to see someone get hurt.

It's a delicate situation. I agree that you should be honest with your husband, and there are ways to do it without him coming unglued. Tell him that you wore a nice perfume and got lots of compliments on how good you smelled. Tell him people that have never really commented on your appearance or your perfume even commented. Then tell him that people wanted to smell it up close, so you let one guy smell your sleeve. I think if its done in this manner, it would seem non sexual and therefore be non confrontational for your husband. Then, tell him that you want to wear it for him to see if he likes it and might want to jump your bones with that scent. He's a guy, turn it into sex for him and he will soon forget the work episode. Be honest, but don't tell everything.

Since the co-worker has shown his cards... you need to keep your distance and don't give him any other chances. If he gets into your comfort zone one more time, take action to stop it. Unfortunately some guys don't get it, and need to be reported. Good Luck

OK, the guy did apologize and he knew he was out of his place with what he did. So, let it go as long as it doesn't happen again. The reason being is that your husband will give you grief about it continuously if he finds out about it. Depending on his frame of mind he may put more into it than what you tell him, so just leave well enough along unless something else happens. In the event the guy tries anything else, act as if that's his first action toward you so your husband won't think that you are keeping anything of importance from him.

That's it? SOme guy smelled your arm and touched it with his nose?
Girl, where I work, almost every man here makes a comment about my cleavage, or my clothes, or wants to touch my hand. If you are an attractive woman, there are always going to be some kind of gooneys out there that will want to mess with you. Learn how to deal with it, ignore it, make sure they know their boundaries. And, no I don't tell my husband about it, b/c he would get jealous. I deal with it MY way, without worrying about it. I know how to handle myself around other men, and if you do too, then you wouldn't let your panties get into such a bunch. Lighten up, it doesn't even sound like he was flirting with you!

Are you stupid or you just pretend? What's the big deal about your collegue smelling your perfume? You might be Arab or Asian girl that makes you feel it's smth really offensive. It's not at all, he just said he liked your perfume and his nose touched your arm by mistake. And you're so stupid cause you don't realize that if you make a big case out of it, your hubby will blame you for it. He will think this is ordinary for you to let men smell you. He would ask you why did you let him smell you, then it means you liked him doing this and now you complain about it. Your choice, I'd better keep my mouth shut if I were in your shoes.

I someone brushed up against you by accident walking down the hall would you tell your husband?

It was nothing and should be treated that way. I am sure there are enough things for you and your hubby to talk about that is important instead this.

Why would you tell your husband about some accidental incident at work? Unless you like pushing your hubbys "jealousy" button to make yourself feel wanted? If so, grow up and quit playing games.

Do I have this correct? His nose touched your arm and you feel like you need to report this? What is the desired outcome here? Just drop it and take it for was it was: a compliment and move on with your life.

just keep it to yourself, especially if your hubby is the violent type! To many people are getting hurt these days or even killed for things such as this!!! If it goes any further than his nose touching your arm,Every place of employment has sexual harassment laws ,use it to your advantage!!! Best wishes!!!
