You should make an appointment w/ your Dr. and tell him the same thing you told us and hopefully he/she will be able to help you out. Good Luck to you.

You say you're "always regular", but how old are you? It's been a while since I really read up on this, but I remember being warned that for the first few years, it can be pretty erratic, even to the point that some girls ovulate again while still menstruating. And I don't *think* they were just making that up to scare us off premarital sex... =)

And, I mean, even if you are closer to my age, the whole egg-release thing is so hormonally driven that it could still be possible. I mean, women skip ovulation due to stress sometimes (which IMO brings a whole new meaning to "vicious cycle"!) - maybe external factors have tweaked your body into popping out eggs more rapidly.

Personally, I'd save the panic for if it happens again in another two weeks. My body has decided it prefers a five-week cycle when I'm not coercing it with oral contraceptives; let's hope your body hasn't decided it prefers a two-week cycle! (If such is the case, you may want to talk to your doctor about something like Seasonale - it's marketed as a contraceptive, but one of the "perks" it touts is that you'll only get four periods a year, which is actually supposed to be healthier for you than monthlies - that whole "we're supposed to be producing children as fast and plentifully as possible" thing.)
