Your husband is stressed. Grinding your teeth and clinching your jaw are indications of stress. So dont sleep with one eye open, just put ear plugs in, and ask in the morning if he's got a lot on his mind.

My wife does that too. It's amazing given that that much grating would seem to be agonizingly painful. It was wearing down her teeth. We tried a store bought teeth guard, and ended up getting one made at the dentist, who says it pretty common.

Both me and my husband do that too. The dentist says it just wears our teeth down quicker. I think it is because we have such intense dreams. I think it is pretty common. There is a mouth guard that one can wear if it is a significant problem.
