sometimes its normal to be late because the due date a doctor determines is more or less a guess since it is impossible to tell the exact date of conception. My sister was 2 weeks past her due date before the doctor finally induced...that was also back in the 80s too. You should be fine. Just relax & let things happen because either way you'll be having your baby within the week. Congrats & good luck! ;-)

Don't worry, I went 40weeks 3 days and I had him on a Friday 3 days before I was schedule to be induce. Baby is just all grown up in there and he might not have the room he had before to move around.
What help me have him was walking. I went for a long walk on Thurs for about 2hrs then around 2:30am (Friday already) I woke up because I started getting stronger contractions. Good luck!!

It's completely normal. You don't have to worry until you are about three weeks overdue because then there is a risk of the baby pooping in the amniotic sack and breathing it in. I suggest alot of walking, stair climbing and also squat down with your legs apart and push. this will help push baby down further. You can also take castor oil. It won't hurt you or baby at all and it usually works. Just add a couple of tbsp to some juice. Pretty soon you will be looking into your sweet baby's eyes. Good luck and congratulations.

I was 10 days past my due date when my first was born. My water broke, but they still had to induce because my contractions weren't doing anything. The baby will come when it is ready...and if they have to induce, it isn't so bad! If possible, have lots of sex and move around alot!! Good luck and congrats!

Some women walk as long as 42 weeks - so yes it is normal. Be prepared because induced labour is painful. Rather try to bring about labour in a natural way like having intercourse - thats how my son's labour was induced. Good luck !!!!!

Don't worry. Lots of women get induced everyday. As long as your baby isn't under any stress (your doctor would have already told you if this was the case) then everything is fine. Congrats.
