Which of the two places do you prefer? We are going on vacation next week and the first night we are staying in one of these two places. Trying to decide on where to stay so we can book soon. I want to stay in Mystic and try Mystic pizza. He wants to stay in New Haven and try the Loius Hamburger place. Any suggestions??

If you're traveling from the south, stop in New Haven
for a hamburger lunch then overnight in Mystic:

Between the two - Mystic, definitely, Mystic. New Haven is nowhere near as nice.
You can also consider staying at the Foxwoods Casino in Uncasville, CT. Might be able to get a deal on a room and its not too far from Mystic.

Pizzas at New Haven. But Vacation at Mystic it is a beautiful place reminding you of old times!

Stay in Mystic, but skip the pizza. I would get Pepes Pizza in New Haven, then go to my hotel in Mystic. The Mystic Seaport is really scenic just to stroll around.

Mystic is nicer and its close enough you can still get to New Haven if you have to.

fifty seven miles is ideal. in case you dont hit site visitors, its a simplechronic and may take basically about 40 5-50 minutes. Its highway the entire way. there will be structure busses, and also you'll take amtrak to New London it quite is about 10 minutes from Mystic. yet thats about it.
