For me this is a two-fold answer.
As an international traveler I think the most dangerous way to travel is uninformed. If you haven't done your research and constructed a plan of where your going or what you can and can't do, and what to expect from the environment when you get there, then you are starring a very dangerous situation in the face. When you are traveling abroad anything can happen...and accidents happen very quickly!!!
I think that Asian taxi's are the most dangerous way to travel because THEY ARE an accident waiting to happen...Try to relax and close your eyes 'cause you don't want to know...and you certainly don't want to see it. Just think happy thoughts! You'll be at the hotel in no time! YIKES!!!

On my GSXR 1000 going through heavy metro traffic at rush hour, I am amazed I have not been in a accident yet that involves another auto.

Perhaps renting a car in a foreign country that you know nothing about?
Though I won't be accepting any invitations for free cruises with people who don't like me much. They could push your butt overboard, and no one would be the wiser!

life is too short to worry about danger at all times.
i agree that we should all take precautions using our common sense, as situations allow.
but other than that, just let go and enjoy the journey...

I think statistically cars are but I'm scared to travel by boat.
